Education, Training, Research, Conferences and Awards:

  2008/3     Short-listed for The Jerwood Drawing Prize.
2008        Burton Sweet Prize, Black Swan Open, Somerset, joint winner.  
2007/9     Research trips to Venice Biennale, documenta, Berlin and Frankfurt.
2007        Recipient of second major award from Arts Council England, South West.
2006        Independent delegate at Artes Mundi International Conference in Wales.
2005        Awarded travel bursary to Venice Biennale by Arts Council & Creative Skills.
2005        Two solo trips to Berlin to research galleries, part funded by ACE.
2004        Recipient of first major award from Arts Council England, South West.
1996-00   Part-time post graduate Diploma of Fine Art University College Falmouth
1984/5     PGCE Art and Design, Brighton University.

Employment and experience:
  2009        Part-time mentor with RIO (Real Ideas Organization)
2008 & 9 Invited exhibitor and demonstrator at Art in Action, Oxfordshire.
2008        Exposure: six days in the Engine Room at the Exchange,
                Penzance, sharing my work and ideas with visitors to the gallery.
2004 - present ;Visiting artist at Cornwall College on Foundation Degree courses.
1986 - 2000 Teaching Art and Art history in secondary schools and colleges including Acting Head of Department, twice; leading workshops and courses.
