January 2014, looking forwards…also, Drawing the Line total funds raised.. is around £8,500.. fantastic!!

There are many exciting things planned for the first part of this year…. at the end of this month I will be going to the University of Leicester to speak at the Symposium Speaking Out which accompanies the eponymous exhibition; I will also be showing three works in watercolour from 2008, two of which were short-listed for the Jerwood Drawing Prize..

For most of this month I will be working in oils in a larger studio, thanks to Jesse and Henry: exciting and challenging.

In February I will be going to Austria, to the University of Innsbruck, to give two workshops on Animals and Art – with a focus on my work – at the Minding Animals International conference. I will also be teaching a workshop at Newlyn School of Art, on Drawing Methods and Materials.

In March my work and I will be going to York to the New Schoolhouse Gallery for my show which opens on March 8th. Later that month I will be teaching a workshop at St Ives School of Painting looking at how music and poetry can inspire us, with a focus on monoprints.

In April I will working in residence in York towards the end of the month, and giving a talk on my work at the New Schoolhouse Gallery.
