Freedom from Torture Drawing show

There are just a few days before the opening of the show at Millennium in St. Ives, by kind permission of Joseph Clarke. On Wednesday we will begin to install the drawings.

Here is the invitation and the list of some of the artists who have agreed to donate drawings. All proceeds will go to the charity.

DRAWING THE LINE A SEALED BID CHARITY EXHIBITION IN AID OF ‘FREEDOM FROM TORTURE’

We request the pleasure of your company for the opening of ‘Drawing the Line’

On Saturday 30th November, from 7 – 9pm

Drawing the Line’ has been organised by artist Kate Walters in aid of the charity ‘Freedom from Torture’. It will include works by many artists who have donated, which will be uniquely available through silent sealed bids taken throughout the exhibition.

Supported by The Penwith Supporter’s Group branch of the national charity Freedom From Torture, the exhibition aims to raise funds and awareness for the charity and its work. ‘Freedom From Torture’ started in 1985 as the medical branch of Amnesty International. Since that time it has grown to a large organisation spanning 5 cities, and is almost entirely funded by donations. It offers vital support to survivors of torture from all over the world.
