Last week I was in residency, as part of Transitions 10, with Susan Bleakley at Newlyn Art Gallery. Alex Karrasch was also there collaborating with/supporting Sue . We were working with the theme ‘Being in the Desert’, or The Arena, looking at how we can be tested in all sorts of ways.
It was a week of challenges, looking within, but also of gifts; we had several lovely visitors offering great insights, and support, and I was given a box of very interesting books as well as a great picture of the crucified Christ, full of tenderness, acceptance, and love, from Chris through Simon Jacques. I was pleased with the series of monotypes I made.
