News – fund-raising show and Symposium in Leicester…

The Freedom from Torture show closed on Saturday and it looks as if we will raise around £8000 for the victims of torture, which is fantastic…

I am involved with a show called Speaking Out which will be at the University of Leicester.. details below.. I will be speaking at the symposium! Exciting.

What can art teach us about the effects of violence against women and girls?

 

This exhibition explores how survivors can overcome their traumatic experiences and promote a positive view of women’s forms of resistance and empowerment through art.

 

Exhibition continues until Friday 28 March, 10am – 6pm

Friday 31 January, 10am – 5pm

£35 (employed) / £20 (students) / £7 (disabled patrons, artists and the unwaged). Price includes lunch and refreshments.
